, temperature regulation sucks. I guess the state of Maryland has a secret pact with the big energy conglomerates because the facility by and large is way overheated! A few weeks ago, I called the HVAC people; they came out with their little meat thermometers. Behind our ticket counter the temperature was 76 degrees F! And this was on a December day! Another temperature reading in our concourse D rendered 82 degrees F. And, they just roll their eyes and I guess fantasize about their next three day State holiday weekend. At BWI
, during the cooler seasons the best thing to do is dress in layers. When down our jet ways, I don a jacket when the temperature is below 50. During the summer months, our jet ways are hot enough to roast a turkey. But, I love my job and just take State operation and ownership with a grain of salt, ecchineacea and Vitamin C.
BTW: Those temperature readings were taken during slow periods when flight loads were very light!
