The ex-snowflake route is doind very well for SAS. In fact it is doing too well, and SAS hasn't done anything about it...yet.
What I mean by that is there is so much demand for this flight and so few seats!
My family travels this route regularly. So as you can imagine the last two years have been a blessing for them as they no longer have to connect and drag their bags and kids through their connection airport.
The concensus in Denmark is that the people are willing to pay MORE for the direct flight to save a headache. Indeed, this has driven the demand up, and this has become apparent because last year lots of seats were sold out on the 1x weekly flight to BEY
Last year our travel plans had to be altered a few times so that we could find an an open seat with MEA
to travel to BEY
. In the end an entire week and a half was sacrificed. At that time however, most flight were sold out anyways so it didnt make too much of a difference.
