Open Skies-When Will It Happen!

Thu Jan 27, 2005 7:24 am

I hope I'm not repeating a topic here but this issue is really starting to annoy me. It's not on that only 2 carriers from both Britain and Ireland can fly to America from LHR. BA, VS, UA, AA. I find it annoying that to often get cheaper fares you have to travel via the European cities.
I hope that this issue gets sorted soon and that we see a increase in the airlines that can fly transatlantic out of LHR.

According to european law, only the EU and no longer the national governments can make new aviation contracts. And the European commission will never sign something like the Bermuda treaty.

However, the old ones are still in power, so I think you will have to wait some more years. But maybe the competition gets tougher then VS receives their A380s?
