That is where pilots make their money. I am a bit surprised though that the pilot didn't go around sooner. Heavy crosswinds do take some time to get used to, but gusting heavy winds are even more tricky. Also, I am not sure how stable the approach for that video was, ie. whether the pilots were setup on a 10 mile final, or if they turned in on a shorter final.
