Routes To Fly An IL-62 And IL-86?

Sat Jan 29, 2005 4:49 am

What would be the best - and hopefully cheapest - route on which to fly an IL-62 and an IL-86? The IL-62 used to regularly operate between MOW and BAK, but it seems that that might have now stopped.

Well, the easiest and cheapest would mean only transiting Russia (which you can do, normally, for 24hrs in the international zone of an airport) without a visa. A scheduled flight on S7 or Krasair would do the trick for the IL86. Fly into MOW on whatever airline you like, take a roundtrip or a one-way out on a requisite Russian carrier, fly back home.....I don't know about IL62 off he top of my head....
