An NW 753 in new colors departed MSY's runway 10 at around 7pm today (Friday 1/28/05).

Anyone know what it was doing here, where it came from, where it was headed? Scheduled? Charter? Substitution?

We have scheduled daily 753s into here all the time, but was nice to see one from NW... breaking up the monotany of A32x and D9s.

Probably some kind of charter. You can also look for the 757-300 and the A330 to be landing/taking off in JAX on Feb 6/7.

1477 is a scheduled flight. Quite the equipment upgrade today. 9987, on the other hand, was probably a charter.

Lots of good stuff out here today...a few A332's, 763's, etc.

I got it...both flights were equipment upgrades. There is a convention in town that is bringing in over 27,000 people. The National Automobile Dealers Association or something like that. Expect a lot of upgraded flights over the next few days.

Are the equip-subs in the schedule... if so, can anyone check and see how far out they last?

Also, isn't UA supposed to up its scheduled EQP to 757s to ORD and LAX from here?

On the flights other than those on Sunday, UA is upgrading all LAX-MSY flights to A320s
