Aerolineas Argentinas And Air Madrid To SJU

Mon Jan 31, 2005 9:26 pm

I remember hearing some time ago that Aerolineas Argentinas was going to ingurate a non-stop service to SJU from EZE useing a A340-200, and also Air Madrid was going to start a MAD-SJU route useing a A330-200.

Does anyone know what happend to these plans?

I would really like to see a AR A340-200 and a Air Madrid A330-200 in SJU, especially since I can fly MAD-SJU useing Air Madrid, becuase they tend to be much cheeper than IB.

Not sure what happened to those proposed routes AlitaliaMD11; I too heard the same thing. I believe the A342 AR flight was to route as EZE-SJU-MIA, maybe because of the CAT status in Argentina, they have not been able to take off w/ this route. As for Air Madrid, it would be great to have another option to Spain and Europe from SJU, IB truly holds a monopoly on the SJU market...for now.
