Memphis A Terminal Ambulance

Thu Feb 03, 2005 9:14 am

There was an ambulance, with lights flashing, at the end of A (Pinnacle terminal) today -- A1 area -- I was on a flight that landed at the end of A, was anyone hurt?

There were several wheel chair passengers on the flight -- really would like some information, because I did assist one of the in retrieving gate checked luggage

Doubt it. I've spent mucho time on the MEM ramp and it's safe to say that the ambulance responds quite often. Many times an "emergency" turns out to be minor, but regardless...they must get there to quickly asess the situation when a life could be on the line and every second counts. I also happen to work in Pinnacle's SOC and if something did indeed happen I'd be one of the first to know about it. Hope this helps!!

Not a day goes by at a major airport that an ambulance does not respond somewhere. Its an insurance thing, if someone falls they must be checked out and a report made. Security will mark the tape add the incident to the daily report and when that evil person tries to sue the airport will be completely covered

We've also had plenty of pax request the ambulance but when it arrives and they find the cost of the "non-medically necessary" trip it's "Never mind"
