ADC Airlines Question

Fri Feb 04, 2005 2:35 pm

Hi everyone,

Looking through the photo database, I came across different ADC airlines. I only knew about the Nigerian one (Aviation Development Company). My question is how can there be 2 or more airlines with the same name and even the same lofo on their aircrafts without them being related? Isn't that illegal?

Paul is right. The photos are all ADC Airlines (Nigeria). The BAC 1-11 pic dates from the early/mid 90s, then, the 727 shown was operated in the late 90s and finally, a new livery was introduced with the 737-200s in 2001.

You can find more info on ADC at www.adcairlines.com

Hi again,

Strange you say that they are the same airline, because ADC nigeria only operated regionally and domestically, and only one of the pics I found was regional (ACC). In addition, the 727 belongs to JAT (YU-AKK), so that one is definetly not the same airline.

EZEIZA,

The JAT bird was surly wet leased to ADC Airlines. In fact, JAT is involved with leasing many aircraft to Nigerian operators (Sosoliso, Aerocontractors, Bellview, among others).
