Superbowl Flyover

Just found out over the internet that the flyovers for the superbowl will be a couple of T-6's and a B-25 before the national anthem and 2 F-22's after the anthem. Got this off of www.warbirdadventures.com They have a little more info on their site about it. They are the ones providing the T-6's. Thought that this might be of some interest to some people.

Thanks, FlySC. I believe this will be the first "public" display of the new USAF F/A-22.

The first public flying display of the F-22 was on Dec. 17, 2003 at Kitty Hawk for the crowd that gathered there to celebrate the century of flight

Just as I suspected, the Florida Air National Guard and their F-15's are left out of the fun once again, even though they are less than 2 minutes away(by F-15 standards). But this being a Navy town and all, of course the Navy isn't going to be left out. Bah humbug!


A little off the subject, but since we are talking about F-22's...

About a month ago I was driving by Dobbins AFB and saw something out of the corner of my eye. As I turned my head to see what kind of aircraft it was, I'll be darne if it wasn't an F-22 with a chase F-16 coming in to land. I must say that as it crossed Cobb Pkwy right in front of my, I almost ran a stop light into a semi-trailer. First time I have ever seen one in flight.
I don't have a microwave, but I do have a clock that occasionally cooks shit.

Still think Longbows would be better. Come in and hover over the stadium, do a pedal turn and depart!

I could be wrong but I think the F22 was on display at Edwards Airshow in 2002.

If it were up to me, the pre-game flyover would be done with P3's.

First public display of the F-22 was the 1999 Edwards AFB Airshow. At least, that's what they told us when we were there. It was not a show display, but apparently an official test flight that happened to coincide with the airshow.

I agree with rogerthat, as cool as the '22's were, P-3's would've been awesome!

And NAS JAX is just full of them. Drive by and look over, rows and rows of Orion tails.
