Arrives back on Friday as EUK845 at 05:00 am. Operating a cruise charter I believe. Wonder how full it was getting off BHXs runway?

Wow...two 747s @ FLL at the same time!?!? (This one & the Focus Air Cargo 747-300 at the Jet Center) I don't know if this has ever happened before...

Yep. She just arrived, 18:55 local time on 9L. Unfortunately, it was totally dark by that time. The 747 stopped for a few minutes near Terminal 4, so that is where it was easiest to take photos. I will yet again be uploading one of the shots to a.net shortly.

Edit: if that doesn't work

Two 747s in FLL were quite common during the 90s with Wardair and Air Canada being on the ground simultaneously on Saturdays.
My definition of cool ? Not trying so hard to be cool.

684,

Shots came out pretty good for the bad lighting we had. It was pretty funny how she snuck up on us. (Didn't notice it was a 74 till she had crossed the 9L threshold)

Sweet shots N864DA. Hard to make that ugly paintscheme look pretty but man, you used that angle and the lighting and got the most interesting shot of that plane I've seen.

Are you sure that was in the 90's? And do you mean Nationair insted of Wardair? I've seen photos of a Nationair/TWA hybrid 747 at FLL, I think that was in the late 80s though. Never of Wardair, although the latter did have an A310 flying for Canadian Airlines and that was probably a casual visitor to FLL. I was in FLL on a saturday back in 94 and I saw no 747s. Saw Lauda Air and Condor, plus that oddball Balkan 767 that was there too. That was about it for intl widebodies.
