NW Mainline Coming To SAV

Tue Feb 08, 2005 7:51 am

Beginning on Feb 12th and running at least through June, NW will upgrade one of the daily DTW-SAV flights to a DC-9. The morning departure from DTW and noon return out of SAV will operate with a DC-9-50

Since NW started service to SAV in 2003, this market has been very successful. Typically it has been only CRJ service daily to DTW, with Sat service to MSP. Last fall, one frequency was upgraded to an Arvo.

DL, US, and AirTran offer mainline service
SAV is also served by COEx, United Express, Indy Air, and this summer AA is returning once again.

Is AA's service just seasonal? I'm assuming it's on RJs; is it from DFW, ORD, MIA, or a combination of the three?
"Lose" is not spelled with two o's!!!!

AA is returning with 3 daily ERJ's to DFW, year-round service. Wouldn't be surprised to eventually see the return of ATR service to MIA that was cut after 9/11.
