Differences In Early Designs Of Planes Vs. Final

I was just wondering, thinking mostly of the 787, of how much different aircraft designs are when comparing the "early" designs vs. final designs. How much of a difference, if any, was there between the 757 early/final. And what are the chances the 787 will look like it does in the current concepts? thanks and cheers  Big thumbs up

Some big changes exist. First 757 studies had engines under the wing but the tail similar to a 727.

As 123 has stated, the original layout of the 757 had the same T-tail as the 727. It also shared the same cockpit and nose section as the other Boeing narrowbodies. The early designs for the 767 also showed a T-tail.
