Those pictures have been around for a while and show Airbus' idea on how to design the interior.
Actual aircraft in service may look completely different.

It looks great but this is not new. It is Airbus advertisment. We will see what the airlines put in it.

Yep, its just the model for Airbus to sell to the clients. But we'll see how close it is to the real thing very soon.

Remember the original marketing pics for the 747? Looked a lot like those.

They'll pack 'em full of 800 31" pitch coach seats.

Most airline CEO's that have ordered the A380 have already scoffed at the idea of putting lounges and what not in their planes. Seats make money, lounges do not.

Enough speculation, here are some facts from QF's website:

"The Qantas A380 will feature special lounge areas; facilities for business meetings and business presentations; and video on demand, internet capability and larger entertainment screens in all seats. Paris-based Australian designer Marc Newson, who designed Skybed, is coordinating the design of the Qantas A380 interior cabin. First Class will provide passengers with greater space, comfort and privacy; Business Class will feature an enhanced version of Skybed; and Economy Class will be substantially improved in terms of space for passengers, entertainment and seating."

As we all know, are the business and first classes of the most airlines in the existing aircrafts already very good with plenty of room. I am really wondering if the average economy class in the A 380 will have more room and won't be so horribly cramped as any economy in any airline in these days . Please folks, don't tell me that there are airlines with economy classes which are not cramped. I have flown many airlines, e.g. Singapore, Malaysia, Swiss, Qantas, Emirates, AA, BA and others. Every economy class is hell concerning legroom and width of the seats. I hope this will be slightly better in the A 380 with most airlines.

@ZRH Did you read the QF announcement? ....and Economy Class will be substantially improved in terms of space for passengers, entertainment and seating.

The last pic is one I've never seen before. To me it looks like a cross between what SQ and VS might do with the premieum sections of their birds. Im very curious to see what they and EK will do to their interiors especially considering EK already has a private cabin with a closing door on its A345's.

The A380 can accommodate 550 pax in three-clas configuration. Most of airliners (except LH) will seat less pax --> more space --> more comfort for pax.

Here are the seating configurations in 3 class for some airlines:

SQ: less than 480 pax
QF: 501 (9F-80C-449Y)
EK: 489 (3-class for long-range), 517 (3-class for medium range) and 644 (2-class for flights to Thailand, India..).
AF: 538
LH: 550
VS: 500
QR: 490

I really hope this will become true. In this case it will be an advantage for those airlines which have 380s. For example in economy I only would fly Qantas or Singapore to Australia if they use 380 and not anymore BA.

Do you actually think that the airlines that have orders the A380 will put all that crap in their planes???

The A380 will be used as nothing more than a cattle car!!!!

Pwm2bos - I think there is some chance to see this stuff in first class, something similar is already available on many airlines. As for the coach... Well, i hope for a little more legroom, nothing more.

The last picture which shows the Swiss like first class is not the interior of the A380, should be the A340NG interior instead. There is a page in the airbus website of the A330/340 interior with the 360degree view of this interior.

I'm surprised airline managements haven't asked the manufacturers to figure out a way to lay us all flat, like submarine beds. Even give us a sedative upon check in so we don't move, talk, eat, or drink. That way we could be shoved into the overheads, too. I'm sure they dream of densities like this all the time. The see how LD-3 containers fill up the belly and wonder how they can get that amount of passenger packing into the upper floor(s). Afterall, a plane is all about revenue generation per cubic foot.

Gaut, I have heard LH will put as many seats in their A380s as AF and certainly less than 550.

Well, if you remember when the 747 came out. Most had a lounge or piano bar in the upper deck. Those disappeared and were replaced by seats pretty quickly......we may get a few of these things when the 380 enters service, but I doubt they will be there for long.....

I wonder how much the A380 Zero Fuel Weight will be at those configurations. It will not be light. Also the bar and bar stools are absurd. If they really, really want to go through with that kind of set up, they will have to get so much recertified with the JAA equivalent of a technical standard order.

You really would not want all that stuff in turned into projectiles in the event of a clear air turbulence or a TCAS advisory.

I think there will be a small lounge area for First Class passengers, not too much unlike what VS have currently in Upper Class but just bigger with space to move around. First Class seats will also be all flat beds which can be 'closed off' by a shutter type 'door' like EK currently has. Everyobe else will be in the same situation as they currently are except Economy passengers, if they are lucky, may have slightly wider seats and maybe another 2-3 inches of recline. But that really is it, I don't think we'll be seeing gym's, cinemas, discos and casinos on this baby for quite a while. Airlines want bums-on-seats and thats all they care about.

Seems like the wait for my luggage on the carousel will take forever with all the passengers on board this puppy!

How about a few well placed composite (light) slot machines? I would think they would make money hand over fist. More than the space of a cheap coach ticket- especially with all the high rollers in asia who might travel in first/ business.

"Also the bar and bar stools are absurd."

Well looking at the LOPAs I have seen, I guess you are going to have to wake up.

Most of the airlines who have ordered the A380 will put one inside.

Don't get too excited though, I have to admit that it's not amazingly different than what we have now.

Economy class layouts I have seen did not show any obvious improvements, but then again cabin config can still change.

I did see some nice things though (confidential, sorry), and you will probably see on most some kind of social areas.
No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.

I think, if airlines really put not more than 550 seats in it, there will be a chance that the economy class will be more comfortable than in any existing airliner.

If you look at the very last picture it's not that much different to some airlines first class, SQ jumps to mind. This is what you'll more than likely see in the A380 and a nice bar to sit at.

QF have announced that their aircraft will fly with 501 seats quite spacious, they have also announced that the first class designs are complete and the business and economy designs are nearing completion. Anyone have any idea when they will be released to the public?
