Good question about HP
international arrivals at LAS. I can't find anything on the HP
or McCarran website about where HP
's international flights arrive. AA
has no international arrivals into LAS.
As for the bridge between C and B, it's so that WN
can use the unused B gates. HP
is not moving to A, at least that hasn't been announced. HP
uses a lot of gates late at night which go unused during the day. The airport is allowing WN
to use those gates during the day when they stand idle. I don't remember the system, I believe it's Muse (it was recently updated), but any airline can go to any gate and operate it as their own at LAS.
McCarran's website, http://www.mccarran.com,
doesn't have any
information on who will be moving to the 10 new gates in the D terminal. It looks like they are nearing completion... I believe it is to open in May, but looks like it could be ready tomorrow.
As for where the airlines in D were before D opened, I know AA
were in the A gates. It's my guess UA
were in A also.
Also, McCarran is gearing up to begin building T3
with an environmental impact study recently completed. That terminal will be built to the east of the D-gates. The airport is currently pursuing "right-of-way" rights and relocating businesses whose land will be needed for the terminal. They recently reached agreement with UMC to move it's QuickCare facility.
