Straight-On View Of 747

hi,

has anybody got a cut out of a b747-400 straight on view, or can someone tell me how to take the airliners.net 747 logo and cut the a/c out perfectly(in paintshop pro)

I think you should ask the photographer's permission before you start doing things with their photos. This include's Sam Chui's 747 in the site logo.

I love that Daniel Werner picture and I've looked at it many times, but it's driving me crazy. How was it taken? What were the relative positions of the runway, plane and camera? Why does it appear that the plane is climbing straight up?

Ask the man himself.

But, like a lot of the other air to air photos at LAX, the photographer is in a cessna at 3500ft (?) passing over the end of the runway looking down onto it on a diagonal. I presume LAX departures will level off before reaching the level of any light aircraft passing by.
wheat and dairy can screw up your brain
