Airport TV Show On Discovery Wings

Thu Feb 17, 2005 2:07 pm

The tv show Aiport filmed at LHR was on Discovery Wings channel, now that has changed to the Military Channel. Does anyone know where I can catch the TV show airport now?

Is Discovery Wings just changing to the Military Channel in the US or is it in the UK too.

Because it is still the Discovery Channel in the UK.

And on a different note. Did anybody see the show last night on the Discovery Channel with Bruce Dickinson in it, called Flying Heavy Metal. He was roller skating on the A380-800 (MSN001) on both decks in the final assembly line.

It was a good show.

...and not only that, but they keep advertising new programs coming down the line for it as well. I reckon it is here to stay in the UK.

I think UK Docs show Airport and Sky Travel Shop show Airline here in the UK. It's a shame Discovery Wings couldn't cover big things like the A380 and 772LR rollouts and maybe show some of the BBCs Airport programs as well, rather than repeat the same stuff over and over.

If it's a BBC show, I wonder if BBC America could/would air it in the US?

I'm sure BBC America did show it at one point. I can remember watching an episode when I was in Florida. That was a couple of years ago though.

Is BBC America a popular channel over there?

I haven't seen the BBC version of Airport on BBC America here in the States. It was always on Discovery Wings. I have always wondered if BBC plans to sell the series on DVD.

BBC America is somewhat popular here. Its only availabe on cable and satellite though a local pulbic station here in the San Francisco Bay Area broadcasts BBC News for 1/2 hour everyday.
