LGW Spot At End Of 26L

Fri Feb 18, 2005 4:03 am

Seems wrong for a Gatwick regular to be asking where to spot, but i just wanted to know how you get to the spot at the end of 26L. Some people say through the doors by the Virgin desks, however when i went there, they were emergency exits. Is this right? I don't want to end up setting the fire alarm off or something like that  Big grin

Is it by the railway?

Hey Stephen,

This is my most regular LGW spot. Yes it is through those doors, however I tend not to go through them myself so much as I just get dropped off on the road itself.

Yes, it is next to the railways, here is an axample I took with a train and a plane:" />

It is mainly good for normal shots although you can get some nice different ones in:" />

Or you can just get the simple but sweet shots:

The only disadvantage is the busy road. It is much calmer down the 08R end, but as you seem to be coming on the train that isn't really an option?

Sam Big thumbs up
Despite the name I am a Boeing man through and through!
