Co To Retain 767's On Some GLA Flights

Sun Feb 20, 2005 3:24 am

There is a lot of speculation in Glasgow that CO will retain 767's on some of it's EWR-GLA flights this summer.

This would be instead of downgrading to the 757.

Could any of our American friends shed any light on this ?

Cheers

The daily, morning flight is showing up as 767-200 now on COs website. Its due to stay until mid July, where rumours suggest 767-400 will take over the route.

I hope so, although CO needs every wide-body they can get this summer to cover the routes that the 757 can't fly to Europe, You also have to look at supply and demand, and I know Americans seasonal service to Glasgow is popular, and hard to non-rev on. I have done better via LHR, due to more flights and bigger planes. I hope GLA retains the 767, CO can probally flll the
bigger bird up each day, what an amazing European operation CO has built there at EWR, Good for them, hope they start more services over the years to smaller under served cities across Europe with a mix of 757 and 767 aircraft adding new and more direct options from the US to Europe. Good luck CO.
Next Flights: PDX-HNL-OGG-LIH-PDX On AS, WP & HA

I wish the daily flight was at lunchtime and operated by the 764. I can't be bothered getting up out my bed early enough to get to the airport in time to see the 764 at 9.00 AM.
