AA Hybrids

Sun Feb 20, 2005 6:10 am

Looking through some photos in the database, and came across an AA 747-100 leased from PanAm with a white top. Got me to thinking...how many American hybrids have there been? Not really that many, considering the mergers and hystroy of the airline. Here is what I can come up with. Who can come up with others???

747-100 White top, leased from Pan Am
DC-10-30 White top, leaseed from Western
737-200 Air Cal c/s
737-300 Air Cal c/s
Bae 146-200 Air Cal c/s
Bae 146-100 leased from BAe c/s
MD-87 RENO AIR c/s
MD-82/3 RENO AIR c/s
MD-90 RENO AIR c/s
TWA/AA hybrid c/s on 717, MD80, 757

Anything else?

Nope the 762's & 763's were left in TWA colors, never in the hybrid colors.

I kno a former AA 737-300 (from Air Cal) had a mix of Air Cal colors with the AA logo on the tail and a SOUTHWEST on the plane, and then finally it became a full colored Southwest Airlines plane, I think if it wasnt hybrid then sorry.
