A SAS Braathens aircraft flying from Oslo to Kristiansand had to abort landing after being struck by lightening.
A witness says "I was terrified when I first heard the loud bang. We saw a flash in one of the engines, and then the plane suddenly started climbing steeply. Shortly after, the pilot announced that there had been a technical malfunction after the plane was hit, and that the plane would land at Stavanger - Sola instead of Kristiansand.
From Kristiansand Airport - Kjevik, they claim the situation was not dramatic, and that the plane was directed to Stavanger because they had more technical equipment there to look into the problem. The aircrafts instruments are not supposed to have been damaged following the lightening strike.
