WN doesn't do "hubs"  Big grin

In a sense you could call it a hub, but the opperations at BWI are far from the traditional hub-spoke model where passengers are pooled together to make connecting flights.

BWI -- WN's hub? Close call. How many flights/day right now? Over 100 probably.

How many flights/day did WN have back in year 1995 (ten years ago at BWI)?

163 daily departures to 34 cities from 21 gates. Likely to grow when the new gate expansion opens.

WN has the most departures from LAS, so if WN has a couple hubs, I'd call LAS one of the major ones.

If you really want to nit pick it then BWI, MCO, MDW, PHX, LAS, LAX, HOU, and DAL could all be consided WN's hubs.

Just My 2 Cents

As of right now, LAS is their largest operation, but at the end of this year, after expansion at BWI and MDW are complete, LAS will fall to 3rd in line behind BWI, and MDW
Where did everybody go?

ERJ,

They are getting ready to film next season though..
Maintain 2300 until Boiler, cleared for the VOR-A approach, report BATLE inbound..

But, when the new construction at LAS finishes, WN will get I think about 15-20 gates.

The construction is a bridge from Concourse B to Concourse C.

WN will be taking HP's gates in Concourse B during the day, since HP has most departures at night.

So, I think LAS will still be #1.

Nashville always gets dissed in this discussion  Sad

BWI is number 3

Las Vegas 195
Phoenix 190
Baltimore/Washington 165
Chicago Midway 145
Houston Hobby 139
Oakland 129
Dallas (Love Field) 123
Los Angeles (LAX) 117
Nashville 86
San Diego 85

they absolutely have some hub system operations, they just have a lot of direct and point to point also. They may not call it hubbing but the O&D out of here is not even close to the number of passengers that WN moves through here.

When the Wright Amendment goes away, there will be nothing but Love for the LUV airline at DAL.
