UA Late Passenger DC10 Flight

I just wanted to know when was UA last passenger DC10 flight. Was it in 1997 like I read or 2000 like I thought.

It was retired from passenger servicein the spring of 2001. I believe that the last pax flight was either to or from LAS. They later went on to become freighters for United's short lived Worldwide Cargo division.

Last 727-200 was DEN-OAK October 30,2001. I have the reg # @ home.
Not sure of the last 732 flight.
Second last DC-10 flight was HNL-ORD (flt#43 or 44)which ended that nonstop service until it was reinstated in June 04.

Kjet12,United Cargo stopped after Christmas 2000.

Ok, nobody asked for it, but the last DC8 was October 23, 1991. (It might have been SAN-IAD, not sure, but this city pair does ring a bell.)

I found this :
United Airlines (Chicago) retired their last Boeing 727-200 on Tuesday October 30 when flight UA1639 operated from Denver to Oakland. It also retired their last Boeing 737-200 on the same date when it operated flight UA1976 from Wichita to Chicago (O'Hare). The company decided to retire both types early after the September 11 attacks and decreased demand. The retirement also represents the retirement of the last hush-kitted aircraft and also the retirement of the flight engineer position. The United Shuttle also ended on the same date but the 59 aircraft will retain their liveries and configurations for the present time (therefore they will be available for shooting). The aircraft will be redeployed on other routes around the country.

Reg on the last 727 flight was N7449U.
