Prior to joining ATA, Denison served in several senior management positions with Southwest Airlines from 1986 to 2001, including chief financial officer.

The plot thickens in the alleged (de facto) takeover-of-ATA-by-WN saga!

In TZ's case this probably isn't a bad idea. At the rate they were going they would be extinct before long.

Gary Kelly said at the Message to the Field.. "If we wanted TZ or any parts of it.. we would have bought them already.."

I wish people would give up the take-over idea already..

This is a very good change for TZ though.. I hope it works out!

Hey, if you want someone to run your airline, why not get someone who has proven to do it well??

just an update: http://www.forbes.com/business/busin...feeds/ap/2005/02/22/ap1842639.html

Denison will continue to share the co-chief restructuring officer post with Sean Frick, the airline's vice president of strategic planning, ATA spokeswoman Roxanne Butler said.

Meanwhile, ATA plans to lay off 267 of its approximately 2,200 employees in Indianapolis and 72 mechanics, customer service agents and other workers in South Bend

Does that seem odd to you that 267 layoffs will happen in April when the schedule is cut to 4 flights a day? What will the other nearly 2,000 people do?
