Which UA B735 In New Livery

Sat Feb 26, 2005 6:13 am

As the title asks, which of United's Boeing 737-500s are in the new livery?

None.

Only 737-300s have received the new livery. Search for United Livery, I posted a long post listing every aircraft in the database with the new livery. There are 11 total 733s (1 was retired though).

The thing is I flew from ORD-BDL on UA1234 last night and couldn't remember number. I think it was N931UA, which according to pictures in the database - is not in new livery, although there is no recent pictures of it. One thing for certain, it was new livery and was a 500, not 300.

No, UALs website says it was operated with a -300 last night. There are no -500s yet.

According to the FAA's records, N931UA is a 735. Who is right, tail number or flight number? This is why you should always have your camera at the airport  Wink/being sarcastic.

All N9XXUA are 735s...

It was most likely a 733, and you just thought it was a 735...the new livery makes it look a little shorter IMO, and the two are easy to confuse with each other as it is.

Do you remember how many rows were in the plane? As much as I'd like to see it, I'm almost positive UA does not have a single 735 in the new livery, especially since they are dumping most of them.

Some of the 735s have a white top but are the old livery (Shuttle, actually).
the easiest ID of a 500 is to look at its nose gear doors, the 500s have "737-500" on the doors, the -300s have nothing.
I love the rumble of a 727 takeoff in the morning!
