Ff Cards?

Sat Feb 26, 2005 8:01 am

Hi all , i must admit that i am a member of three ff programs yet i dont have a ff card due to the fact that i dont reach the required points levels.I was hoping that some of you out there could inform me of the programs that give you an actual card( not the printable sort)once you join the program i.e that is sent to your address.Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

At Delta, you get sent a card when you enroll (they might wait for you to make your first flight, although I'm not completely sure). We do the registrations, but as Comair, we don't process the actual applications ourselves, DL does it. It takes several weeks (in the mean time you have a temperory card), but you do get sent a physical card in the mail. You can register in person at the airport/fto, or online at delta.com. I believe the process is the same for most other airlines (at least the major US based ones).

Will the US airlines mail the initial membership cards to Ireland though?

I'm a member of CX/Asiamiles, NW/KLM, and Air France. All of those cards I received after my first flight. Though in the case of AF, the first flight was on Air India and NW/KLM the flight was with Malaysian. At the time I took those flights, both AI and Malaysian didn't seem to be full members of the respective alliances, but had some kind of milage linkup - hence the choice to join milage programmes of larger airlines and prominant alliance partners.

QF will send you one however you have to pay. When I joined BA for free, which was later converted to QF, hehehe that was a nice scam, I got one.
