Excellent!

Does anyone know the general schedule of re-paintings for the flleet? The first 320 is due shortly correct? SAS used to post a fleet update that included every repainting date by tail #, including planned. This is perhaps asking a bit much.  Smile

I guess it will be a while before we see the 321/333/345 in the new scheme given their small numbers.

Cool!!
From what I know of that plane, it is not an ER series and also is one of their early models from the early '80s.
I have pictures of the aircraft which I took photos of ... 5 years ago..
Unfortunetly YYC no longer receives 767-200 service so I will hope that one of their legs to YVR will sub this type soon.

Apparently C-FKPS FIN 223 (A320) has the new colours on the tail only, already.

FIN 223 has just received the tail livery in the form of a decal. It's being wear tested for a month before being applied to the rest of the fleet. This will avoid having to pull aircraft for repainting. Now aircraft will only receive the ice blue paint during scheduled C checks

According to the AC maintenance sked, FIN 410 is in getting its new colors now and should be out the first week in March. It will be painted from Tango colors to the new colors.
It will be followed by A320's FIN's 411, 406, 415 and 401 all from Tango to AC.
It doesn't say anything about just applying the tail decals.
The first A319 (FIN 260) will be done around the end of April. Also, FIN 264 (TCA) is slated to be painted in July.
Also, I noticed that FIN's 465, 466 and 467 (3 of the AF A321's) will be in the paint shop in early April. I am guessing that the AC colors and decals will be removed for return to lessor. They are also showing to be in YWG for some mx before being returned.

More a question of the age of the aircraft than small numbers. The paint still looks good on the A321's.

Now aircraft will only receive the ice blue paint during scheduled C checks

A320 series get their C checks done in YWG. Painting is done in YYZ (767's and A330/A340 series C checks are done in YUL or YVR). We're starting to see A320 series scheduled for paint visits. As mentioned, Tango aircraft will get the new scheme shortly. Most of the 200 series A320's have already been painted in the old scheme within the last couple of years - these are the ones that will get the tail decal first, I assume.

There are still quite a few A319's that need paint, so these ones will get the new scheme rather than the decal.
The primary function of the design engineer is to make things difficult for the manufacturer and impossible for the AME.

Interesting about the A320. I saw it on Thursday from a distance taking off, and noticed that it looked very white  Big grin and then it flew over me on approach to 24R while I was driving down the 427 while snowing, and again it looked very white. Now I know why!!! I guess we'll have to wait and see what the full livery will look like on the narrow bodies.

No, the plane is 621 and it is a B767-200ER, originally from Air New Zealand.

Any chance of an AC 319/320 in STAR Alliance colours? AC has a 343, 763 & 762 in STAR colours. I'm surprised there have not been any 319/320's yet.

US just painted their 1st 319 in STAR colours. Any AC 319 will be almost identical:

There is also a CRJ in STAR colours, so not having an A32X in STAR colours seems odd.

Neil, I looked at the paint sked and unfortunately, it mentions nothing about painting anything to Star colors. It only says "From Tango to ACA" for the Tango 320's or " Paint Visit" for regular AC metal.
Maybe when 264 (TCA colors) gets painted in July, they might do the Star scheme on it.

I'd love to see another retro scheme, especially the red cheatline from the 80's.

Here's a photo of her already in the system... looking good but she's now 23 years old! But I guess she's had a year or two's rest...

Thanks AC_B777. Hopefully AC will paint one of each type eventually in the Star scheme (as ugly as it is).

Are you so sure? I taxied by one just yesterday! (Feb 27, 2005) It was gated at A16, and it looked like it had spent the night since it had a nice coating of frost on the upper fuselage.

My bad, the plane is indeed an ER series. It was some small technical info about the plane which I seemed to remember standing out from the others. I think now that it must of been the series type being a 209 than a 233.

ACYWG: For the older 767-200 series, none currently fly to YYC.
I believe the one you saw was a -300 series which probably was sitting around after arriving from Mexico or some Carribean destination during the night.

I'm not sure which it was...I was never able to get the registration because the windows are too damn small in the CRJ's!!!! Oh well...Do they not fly the -300 series to LHR on the late evening run during the Winter season? I always remember there being a 767 departing approx. 9PM every night for London.

Yup the 767-300 is a 2105 departure from LHR to YYZ. I am booked on it 31 March. How old are their 763s?
