Is there any daytime transatlantic flights from the americas to Europe? I suppose it could be possible for example, that a New York-London flight takes place in this way. It would leave lets say at 8am and arrive the same day more or less at 8 pm.
It would be appreciated if you could inform me on that one, since i know most if not all transatlantic flights are overnight
antoehr question. Whilst there are some night flights between Europe and South America are there night flights from europe to the U.S ?

A man without the knowledge of his past history, culture and origins is like a tree without roots
AA and BA both have morning flights from JFK to LHR.
AA and BA also both have morning flights from BOS to LHR.
AA has a morning flight from ORD to LHR.
UA and BA both have morning flights from IAD to LHR.
There might even be more. These were taken from just from a cursory look at travelocity.com.
The daytime US-Europe flights are considered by some to be a well-kept secret that can give excellent benefits on jet lag if you have the time to spare. Obviously it 'costs' you a working day, but makes jet lag virtually non-existent: you get up, go to the airport, fly to Europe and by the time you have got your bags, gone home, opened the post etc, it is roughly time to go to bed in local time and as you have had a long, tiring day flying, you are tired at exactly the right time. Next day you wake up with hardly any jet lag.
There are no night flights between Europe and the US simply because the time difference is too much and the journey times are not long enough to make the departure and arrival times appealing. This also makes crew stop overs unpopular.
Take LON-MIA for example, a 9 hour flight, time difference 5 hours.
If you leave LON at 11.55pm you would arrive MIA at 3.55 am and then leave MIA at 7.00 am arriving LON at 8.20pm.
Although there are some late night westbound flights, 6pm, 7pm departures. Virgin have the last of the day from London, leaves about 7pm and arrives at JFK about 10, also KLM have a very late arrival into JFK from AMS, I think theirs is the last westbound arrival into JFK each night.
fly Saha Air 707s daily from Tehran's downtown Mehrabad to Mashhad, Kish Island and Ahwaz
TWA briefly operated a daytime JFK-CDG flight, but apparently it proved unpopular. I guess the extra hour of time difference plus the additional flying time result in a very early departure and/or a very late arrival. Also, there are not really any connecting opportunities on either end, so these flights rely almost entirely on O&D traffic. In any event, no one has tried that since, although I wonder if one of the Skyteam airlines might have better luck now with all the codeshares.
I know from listening to the scanner that there is usually a VS flight (17 IIRC) that comes into EWR between 11pm and midnight. Not sure when it leaves the UK, but it must be an entirely nighttime flight.
