What Aircraft Did Airlines Fly?

Wed Mar 02, 2005 2:12 am

Does anyone know of a website which lists aircraft makes/types flown by airlines in particular years?

I want to have a stab at filling in a few gaps in my log book.

Thanks,

Malcolm.

what is it you mean exactly? do you mean as in an aircraft production list? I doubt there is site that lists what you are asking for, other than the individual history pages of a few airlines official sites.

Thanks, Carl.

No, not by aircraft production list but by airline.

Does anyone know the net addresses of any airlines which may list such information?

For example, I flew Heathrow to Arlanda by BA in 1993. What aircraft was flown on this sector?

Where can you find it on the Web? No idea. But we might be able to tell you what fleet BA had in 1993, just by looking in the old JP. If you list the flights you're wondering about we'll see how many guys have the necessary OAGs.

Unfortunately I'm not sufficiently into such matters that I understand what 'the old JP's' are or what 'OAG's' are! Apologies for my ignorance.
Let me give you an example.

In many cases I have all but the aircraft make/type. For example -

Iberia IB5151 Heathrow to Bilbao on April 26 1995.
British Airways BA485 Bilbao to Heathrow on April 28 1995.

Perhaps I am expecting too much to expect to identify the aircraft make and type after such a time lapse!

As for London to Arlanda, the 4/93 BA timetable shows all 737s except for one 757-but-equipment-may-vary. The timetable doesn't say whether that means 737-200 or -400; BA had both then.

Yes it is too much to expect, but it's not too much to hope for. Maybe somebody has the right timetable in their closet-- we'll see.

Best I can do on London-Bilbao is the 10/95 OAG, which shows one IB nonstop, an A320, and one BA, changing from an A320 to a 757 that month.
