Jet Airways to add KUL/SIN service

Jet Airways will inaugurate nonstop service from Mumbai to Singapore on April 3rd and from Chennai to Kuala Lumpur on April 27th. Both routes will be served with a daily Boeing 737-800 flight.
The airline is also in final negotiations to add long haul aircraft, most likely A340s, for daily service to London and a possible new route to New York via Brussels.

Makes sense to go for MAA KUL rather than the rat race which MAA SIN is.

That would make 5 daily flights between KUL & MAA, when Jet & Sahara start their services. It would be great if Air Asia would also join in someday.

MAA-KUL would be guaranteed success. Malaysia afterall has the largest population of Tamils outside India (about 1.5 million).

Just read a Jet Airways Internal Newsletter from the CEO stating 9Ws Future plans.
They will be leasing 10 B737NGs in 2005 & 10 more in 2006/07
For SE Asia Ops they will be adding 3 more B738s with Winglets to the Existing Fleet.
No mention of the Type for International ops, just stating Long ranger.
