I just recently moved into some apartments along San Francisco Bay. Every night when I come home from work around midnight, I have noticed some 747 arrivals. Looking on a flight tracker site right now, I saw that Korean Air, Asiana and Cathay Pacific have late-night flights between LAX
, continuing on to Asia, all arriving at SFO
between 11pm and 1am. Why would they route like this, instead of LAX
nonstop to Asia? It doesn't seem to make sense that someone flying Asiana from LAX
-Seoul would rather fly through SFO
first, since they do offer nonstop flights to Asia.
