How Do I Find The A/c Registrations?

Thu Mar 03, 2005 2:48 pm

Hi there,
i would like to know, is there a way i can find the a/c registration after I have flown a certain flight. On march 2, 2005, i flew YTZ-YOW-YUL-YHZ. I would like to know the registrations of the a/c on those routes, i flew. How can I find out?

Thanks
Ales

I would suggest contacting the airline with whom you flew each sector and asking them. They will have a record of each sector flown by each aircraft. It will also give you a precise flight time per sector.

The Technical Records department or Operations department should help.

Which airline did you fly on? AC? Only someone who works there can give you that information.

I always wonder why people don't just look on the back of the plane where the registration is 12 inches/300 CM high and can be easily read from a window in the terminal by the naked eye or a especially a zoom lense on a camera.

1millionflyer,

I agree, but sometimes time passes by and you forget the small little paper where you wrote down the registration of this 8 month's old flight.

It seem's to me that someone posted a while ago a way to get the arrival time and maybe registration of "flown" flights in the US, but I can't remember !!!

The only way to get those registration numbers is from someone who works in Operations or dispatch for that airline.

This gentleman did not say which airline he flew, only City pairs.

You can go many ACARS websites and request flights giving them flight numbers and aproximate hour. One of the best ACARS sites is run from Canada by guy named Alexis. Look up on google for his web page. Its much better than contacting airline people.

If you are flying within the United States or flying on a US carrier, you can visit the Department of Transportation's Bureau of Airline On-Time Statistics.
