With any good fortune, we'll speed up the delivery of our Airbii orders. A guy can dream.

Sweet. Finally we can finally start reducing the number of CRJs over Airbusses in the Flyi fleet.

Great! It's just another 7 A319s America West can easily get their hands on for a good price when DH liquidates.

LOL.

Yes, you too can ask for a free plane. By the way, everything is free in Europe, come on help yourself !

On the other side, idiocy seems to be very affordable in the USA.  Smile

Give me a break, US Airways and America West have more of a chance to merge than FlyI selling out to them.
Looking forward to the new AA

Graham697,
I think you misunderstood me. I never suggested FlyI would sell out to America West. I was saying that when DH liquidates, and the A319s go back to the lessor, America West would be in a prime position to pick them up. They would be ideal as they are all under a year old and have engine commonality.

Flyibaby:

HP: $50mil loss on $570mil revenue

DH: $80mil loss on $120mil revenue

Do the math. Let's be realistic here.

I am not going to flame you, but I think your comment is outright childish. You have no consideration for the employees who are working so hard to make Indy work. I am saddened that you would stoop to a level so low, and bash an airline that is trying so hard to survive.

If Indy fails, I can promise you that HP wont get the 319's. They can't afford a NW DC-9 series 10 right now. In the early 1990's HP was on one knee, and almost did not make it another day. Airliners.net was not around then, but I can imagine you would have been hurt to see posts like the one you shot off taunting HP. HP overcame all odds, and pulled themselves together. Independence can do so just as well. HP is not exactly sitting on the high dollar themselves right now, and I think it is a little dirty to compare $$$'s.

Congrats Indy! Glad to see your 319 fleet grow! You can overcome the odds!

Let's be realistic here.

Sebolino,

Was that comment really necessary? Please don't turn this simple thread about an airline getting a new aircraft into a turf war. It is not what we are all about and myself, nor several regular contributors in these threads appreciate it.

Ditto about F9Animal's post. It's ok, though, DH has had it's issues with certain people around Phoenix and overcame those eventually  Wink.

No. It was the aforementioned idiocy and immature foot-stompting of American Congressional Republicans and backwater rednecks that lead them to rename French fries (which are, in fact, of Belgian origin [I'm supposing that most Americans don't even know the difference between the two]) to "Freedom fries."

Sebolino had ever right to make that comment. With people foolishly saying, "Thanks for the free airplane, Airbus," they are demonstrating a complete lack of knowledge on the topic. Airbus is not giving away anything; instead, they are providing favorable leasing/purchasing conditions (to numerous carriers) just as Boeing has done before also.

If you don't want people to label you an idiot, don't make idiotic remarks. "'Tis better to keep your mouth shut and have people believe you to be stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
Ignorantia juris neminem excusat.

For now yes, but as they improve you can expect to see it added to their fleet. Song didn't start with IFE... (even though we don't know how well song is doing, but its a good comparison)
Looking forward to the new AA
