I have no idea if SRB actually scans these forums. Something tells me not... but that's just a guess anyway.
Virgin is always innovative and operates as a customer-first airline. Like any job, after any length of time, it has its high and low points. I work within the airport/customer service departments. Mostly it is OK
. The edgy, in-your-face attitude of the past 20 years or so have certainly been toned down. We all find ourselves more bottom-line driven, and responsive to trends... moreso than in the past. Sometimes its hard remembering the pre-9/11 days when commercial aviation was reallllllly fun... (sigh).
VSAmerica is still a pipe dream. There is a super-terrific, great, amazing management crew in place (a few of which I know personally), but different US legislation makes foreign-ownership of a US company tricky. Then there's that little investor/funding issue...
I have met SRB a few times. He always seems to be a stand-up kind of chap. Always personable and always a blast to be around. As far as what he'll be doing next... WHOA! I have no idea. Just puuulllleeease don't sell the remaining 51% of VS
