PIA's 777 LR

Wed Mar 09, 2005 1:13 pm

  • Why PIA is going for 777 LR, as someone from PIA informed me that PIA is not allowed to fly to USA directly from Pakistan. PIA needs some European Country security clearance before flying to USA. If this is so then PIA may use 777 LR for other sectors but not for USA for direct flights.
  • When PIA is getting the delivery of first 777 LR

This is just for information that I wish that PIA should not change the original colors of Boeing and they may just put their logo on the tail. Put this suggestion on PIA's website

If others also wish that like 747 and 737, 777 should be in Boeing's color while in use of an airline, please send your suggestions to PIA.

By purchasing the 777-200LR, PIA can reach any city in the world pretty much aside from Easter Island. Not sure when they take delivery.

I don't think this is correct as a PIA representative at the roll-out of the 777-200LR a few weeks ago said that on of the routes PIA would use the -200LR on, will be KHI-IAH nonstop.

First delivery of a 777-200LR will be in January 2006 to PK. I disagree with you regarding the livery; PIA should fly it in their own livery and change back to "PIA" on the tail and "Pakistan" titles just like when their first 777 was rolled out.

Boeing 777s flown: UA, TG, KE, BA, CX, NH, JD, JL, CZ, SQ, EK, NG, CO, AF, SV, KU, DL, AA, MH, OZ, CA, MS, SU, LY, RG, PE, AZ, KL, VN, PK, EY, NZ, AM, BR, AC, DT, UU, OS, AI, 9W, KQ, QR, VA, JJ, ET, TK, PR, BG, T5, CI, MU and LX.. Further to fly.. LH 777
