Hispanics are the largest non-American group of people in New England. Unfortunatelly I suspect most can't afford to fly or are afraid to not be allowed back into the country. As countries go, there aren't that many Mexicans in the Boston area. Most hispanics come from Central America/Caribbean, mainly El Salvador and Dominican Republic.
The only country in South/Central America that may be able to support non-stop service from Boston is Brazil. Varig was about to start service to Boston pre-9/11. I'm kinda surprised no one offers BOS
-Brazil non-stop service given the number of Brazilians in the area. Brazilian immigrants tend to be a bit more affluent than the rest of the Central/South American immigrants too.
As for Asia we do have a very large presence of Chinese and Southeast Asians but probably not large enough to fill a widebody aircraft on a daily basis. The short lived Korean flight was a stop-over on the way from JFK
to pick up seafood more than passengers. Coincidentally, Korean's Cargo website still lists BOS
as a destination but I believe that is in error.
The closest we may get to Asia from BOS
, in my opinion, would be Russia. We have a huge amount of Russians in the Boston area, and very rich ones too. I think a non-stop to Moscow could do very well here. But that is Europe, so we're back where we started
