ATR Freighters?

Mon Apr 03, 2000 1:02 pm

I was wondering if there was a freighter version of the ATR42/72, and if so, what is its designation and who flies it? Thanks.

Yes They Exist

The February 2000 edition of Airliner World ( has a great feature on ATR aircraft.

The article mentions the ATR 72-100 and -200 cargo versions and the ATR 42-300QC. It also says cargo operators include TAT and Gill air.

I've been to their website but can't remember the address.

Hope that helps.

L´Aéropostal, France, was the first customer for a ATR72-200 freighter, they signed the order last year at the Aérosalon in Paris. According to my data these are second-hand planes.
