Does anyone know what Deltas 767-400 was doing in Austrailia?

I believe it was warm weather testing at Alice Springs.

I also think it was being shown to Qantas and Ansett Australia to try and get them to order the 764.

It was in Alice Springs doing heat testing trials and came to Melbourne to be shown to Ansett Australia and i enjoyed the photographic session i had with the aircraft. I got over 72 slides and a full roll of prints it was magic
