Now these figures are not based on any official information as such, but on the number of flights between each city and CAI.
As for airfares and loads, the intra-Arab market (in general) is still quite closed up (compared to say the EU) and restricted by bi-lateral agreements. As a result frequencies tend to be capped and rarely satisfy the real demand on the market. That way the airlines charge ridiculously high prices on their routes and loads tend to be quite high. It is not secret that local airlines make most of the profits on intra-Arab flights compared to their other intercontinental markets.
