United New Livery

Mon Mar 14, 2005 10:04 am

Seeing that UA has been dumping a lot of their 737-500s, does anyone know if the 29 remaining 735s will get the new livery, and when?

Also, I heard the first A320 is due for paint in April, is this still true? Thanks!

There was a rumor floating around here a short while back that there was a 522 in the new colors. A quick search around looks like that never came to fruition, but who knows. United did paint some 322s before they were sent to the desert, but again nobody knows the details on that one.

I am looking forward to seeing the Airbus in the new colors (not Ted). Hopefully my trip to SFO next month will yield many new colors UA jets. Hope I helped a little.

Use English. I work for the company and haven't heard the term 522's before.

What's so strange about "522?" It says it right on the nose-gear doors!

"5" designates the series 737. "22" is the Boeing designation for UAL. It is English. It's a case of someone knowing more than you UAL 777 CONTRAIL.
