"Kai Tak" At SFO Today

Tue Mar 15, 2005 4:01 am

Fellow planespotters:

The planes are touching down right in front of the airport park today due to strong winds from the east. We just saw a UAL 747-400 doing the unusual hard vectoring down the peninsula. Check out the SFO Flight Tracks website for landing patterns.

Enjoy!!!

Unfortunately, I arrived @ BayShore Park exactly at 2:30 p.m. (PST), and by then there was not even one flight arriving on the "1's".....they all arrived on the "28's".....I left the park @ 6:00 p.m.........no luck.  Sad

On top of that, I got the good ole' Millbrae dog sniffing squad....lol....it was funny..  Smile

That being said, KLM's 777 took off from 1R....what a BEAUTY!!!  Big grin

I arrived on 1R around noon on a TED A320, it was pretty bumpy approach. Lots of turns, but not like kai tak.
