ATA Airlines Is Being Featured On The Reality TV

Tue Mar 15, 2005 9:46 am

Every Little bit helps!

ATA Airlines is being featured on the reality TV program that
airs on the A&E Network known as “Airline.” I am very pleased Southwest offered to share the
spotlight with ATA in this third season of the show with production beginning this week. While
having this national exposure is good for ATA, we are especially happy for any ATA employees
who have a shot at TV fame by being featured in an episode of the show.

Probably done on purpose as directed by Southwest....so when their passengers get on an ATA plane from MDW to LGA...or from LAX to HNL, they aren't entirely thinking "what the hell?" Smart move, of course.
if assumptions could fly, airliners.net would be the world's busiest airport

ATA's more diverse operation could expand their story lines a bit as well. One of the better "Airline"s featured the guy who was working the tug on a tow-in gate for the first time. In that light, ATA could have stuff like (1) mechanic riding with the charters; (2) touching stories regarding military flights and their special preparations and procedures and the way the f/as take care of them; (3) long history of flying all over the world; (4) interliners to Hawaii, and the special services they get on ATA/PHH flights; (5) ATA's more regimented approach to procedures; (6) on of ATA's greatest features, the fact that the Captain tells you 10-15 minutes before he's gonna turn on the seatbelt sign for landing, so you know that it's time for that last bathroom break or freshening up (yourself or your cocktail); (7) ATA has IFE; (8) ATA's assigned seats.

This should be great for them.

I sure hope ATA can keep flying. I like that airline. Leather seats on a LCC B-737-800, with winglets.

I started flying them when the had the B727-200s with that old ugly white paint with blue and gold stripes.

The publicisity should be good for them.

Smart move on Southwest to get ATA on the air - they can advertise the Hawaii flying. Its all about publicity.
THANK YOU FOR FLYING NORTHWEST AIRLINES, WE TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS!

DC10guy: Something only a  censored  would say. I hope you lose your job.

Hopefully the publicity will do them well.
