Food Poisoning At Heathrow AA First Class Lounge

Tue Mar 15, 2005 11:35 am

i recently traveled from London heathrow to jfk with 2 colleagues..they had tea sandwiches, mini quiche etc in the AA admirals club first class lounge

both got violently ill, vomiting on the plane, and for several hours on the ground upon arrival

thought it was a fluke ....but turns out 10 days later another colleague had the the exact same problem passing through the same AA first class admirals club lounge at heathrow

anyone else have similar experiences

the heathrow admirals club always seems so clean and well tended...
i wonder what was tainted and who i should report this to that would really care and investigate to avoid further outbreaks

Food poisoning usually takes 24 hours or more to roar it's ugly head after the food in question is consumed. Could it be possible that these colleagues ate something else at the same place 24 hours before their flight? Food poisoning doesn't appear immediately after eating the food. Source WebMD.

Hmm.. Maybe it's an effort to get pax not to fly on flights that are overbooked (so practicly all flights) so they posion all of them hoping to get some of them to back off from their flights.  Smile hehe.. just a thought.
