Timetable Creator?

Sat Mar 19, 2005 8:40 am

Does anyone know of a (hopefully) free or low-cost program that lets you make your own timetables? Thanks.

I don't know of any program that's only made for timetables, but you can try Excel.

what procedure do you use to input all the info, just curious

What type of program do you mean?

Excel and spreadsheets like that enable you to create "timetables" - as in charts or tables with rows and columns of data - but you have to manually work out the scheduling and enter the data.

"Scheduling" programs like MS Project will take your resources, time constraints and dependency criteria and produce a Line (Gantt) Check or a "network" (PERT/CPM) diagram. You may be able to adapt this type of program to basic airline scheduling.

Hmm... it seems that Excel is the only thing for the job. It's too bad there isn't a specific program for it.

If you want to create anything through software you have to define your inputs and outputs. If you can define those, I can send you formulas for Excel that will do.
