Official Distance And Duration Records...

Wed Apr 05, 2000 12:04 pm

There's a bit of a question as to who has flown the farthest or longest, so is there an official record that is recognized by a respectable organization (FAA, for example)?

As a loyal Boeing guy, that was funny as hell.

As an airliners.net guy, you're bringing a world of hurt on us.

Well if Airbus's suck and Boeing's have larger engines than Airbus's........

Does that mean Boeings suck more

Looking back over your posts here are some of your ridiculous responses.

*Airbus has sucked for a really long time. Does that count?*
*At least AA isn't tempting fate by ordering any more Aribusses!*
*I hope they launch it alright....Of a short pier into a deep blue sea.*
*Airbus Sucks anyway!*
*Make sure it isn't an Airbus if you want it to last a few years.*
*The way I see it the U.S. Navy did the world a favor by getting rid of an Airbus.*
*At least Dave didn't order any airbusses! Tower has some of the best pilots in the industry*

These are not edited, but full comments made by your. There is never, ever a mention of why you hate Airbus on technical details or other merits.

Then there is this great post by yourself:

Well you can always choose whos posts you read. That is what I do. I think the forum should stay the way it is, but that those of us who are working in the biz, should do all we can to recruit others like us to contribute. As for the younger members, you are right many of them are just instigators, but some of them are kids who are really and truely interested in aviation. It think that for those few we should answer their questions and encourage them to pursue the careers that we all love. I have spoken at several high school career days and to find high school students these days who actually like airplanes is pretty hard. Anyway, please nobody leave and let us set the example for others to follow. If the majority of posts here are higher level aviation stuff, the punks will lose interest and go away. To the Administrators, I think you are doing a great job!!

S.S., I have to give you points that some of your posts have been informative, but when you post nothing but *Airbus sucks* continually, people look at your profile and think 26-35.....is that this guy's IQ?

I don't care if you are offended by this (as I was deeply offended by a comment you made earlier on in which I see you have made no retraction (even if the comment was made tongue in cheek), or reply.

So if you have something useful to say, please say it, otherwise keep it to yourself, please!
