Swiss A 340 In GVA:What Was It?

Tue Mar 29, 2005 12:24 am

Hi folks

Yesterday while driving on the highway at around 6:30 pm I saw a SWISS A 340 land in GVA. Since Swiss ditched us the biggest plane from SWISS we see here is the A330 going to New York. I was thus wondering if anybody could tell me where this A 340 came from.

Regards, BM

Perhaps this A 343 was for the flight to JFK. They changed from the A 332 for once.

As far as I know the JFK flight leaves around noon from GVA and makes it back at around 9 am so it can't be that. I don't think an A 340 would be used from ZRH to GVA

It was HB-JMB operating ZRH-GVA-ZRH due to lack of a/c as some ARJs are in special maintenance (see different thread).
