NWA 744 DTW-NRT

Tue Mar 29, 2005 1:45 pm

Hi all:

Did a search, and I only found 2 photos in the DB shows the interior of NWA's 744, and there are out of dated.  sorry

Anyway, I am just curious, is the 744 on route DTW-NRT has PTV? I don't wanna sit there for 13 hours without anything to do.  fight

Thanks in advance. If any of you had experience on this route, please feel free to comment.

Regards

Nope, but in a few years that will change, there are plenty of screens. Of course there is a window too!

You could sleep or read. IFE isn't the end all be all of flying.

Believe it or not, before the late 90s, people actually flew without IFE!
Can you believe that, no IFE?!?!?!?

I've been flying since the mid-70's with IFE. It was called a movie screen. Now PTV's are a whole different beast.  Smile

If a PTV is really that important to you, you could travel through SEA, SFO, or PDX and get to fly on a PTV equipped A330.

No, not THAT important, but it's good to have it though.
Just asking, that's all.  Smile

I'm with Jay, fellas...
While I won't cry a river over not having one, it's nice to have, and if the price is right, I'd prolly choose Continental (ALL widebodies have PTVs) over Northworst (none of the DC-10s or 747s do... only the A330s).
I don't think it's that big a deal, but it IS a nice feature.

And yes, I am capable of reading. Texan or not, I'm real well edjikated.
