There was a no fly zone imposed over Rome due to the Popes' funeral. Due to the huge number of world leaders, there was a great risk of terrorist attack.

The first link calls the executive jet a "Lear Jet 131". I would be suspicious of any Lear 131.

The plane was escorted by two Italian Air Force F-16s to the Italian military base Prattica del Mar south of Rome.

According to German news it was a plane from Serbia to pick up a delegation from one of the former Yugoslavian states. They didn't mention what they were thinking when they entered the No-Fly-Zone.

News in Italy had reported that secret services were afraid that there could have been a bomb on board...the aircraft was used by the Serbian delegation and departed from Belgrade

funny how it took so long to reach SkyNEws on TV, when there was a sky news web article so soon.
