From the website of Alpha1 Airways which was planning to start Oxford-Cambridge flights:
Alpha1 Airways Delays First Flight Due to Unforeseen Circumstances
Due to unforeseen circumstances the decision has been taken to postpone the launch of flights until the end of May 2005. This decision has not been taken lightly and does not mean that Alpha1 has ceased trading or will not fly.
For the timebeing, all passengers booked on flights with Alpha1 have been refunded the cost of their ticket and their contract, which was held with Alpha1 has been ended. All passengers booked on to effected flights have now been informed of the cancellation and a full refund has been issued, in addition, effected passengers have been offered a 50% discount on their next flight with Alpha1.
We realise that this development has caused a great deal of inconvenience to some of our passengers and we sincerely apologise for this. AirMed have no responsibility in the postponement of services.
(I wish the young chap luck in resolving the problems but I think he could use an experienced PR chief - or at least someone who can spell.)
