S&P stock analyst sees Continental Air profit in '06 (CAL) By August Cole
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Continental Airlines (CAL) will likely be back in the black next year, Standard & Poor's equity analyst Jim Corridore wrote in a Monday research note. "In light of what we see as an improving revenue environment for airlines, along with success by Continental Airlines in getting the majority of the labor cost cuts it was seeking, we expect the company to be able to cut its operating loss in 2005, and think it will return to profitability in 2006," he wrote

With a virtual monopoly on flights from the regions in Britain and Europe, I'm not suprised!
I think Continental will be one of the, or even the best performing US carrier!

Indeed. CO, NW, and AA would have all likely made a profit in 2004 if it were not for oil prices.
